As most all know, we have just one team with a UNT commit(s) still playing in the state playoffs. Our receiving duo at Carthage takes on Kilgore tonight in the state championship game.

Carthage vs. Kilgore, noon Friday, December 20th, AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas

Carthage, led by our receiver commits Tee Goree and O'Keeron Rutherford takes on the 14-0 Kilgore bulldogs. Should be a great game. Feel free to post updates in here!

Kilgore will be the visitors in the game, which will also be televised live on Fox Sports Southwest (Kilgore Cable channel 50). As always, the Ragin’ Red Broadcasting team of Doug Smith, Don Hedrick and Jason Smith will call the game; their broadcast can be heard live on KDOK 105.3-FM, 1240-AM, and online at kdokradio.com. That audio can also be heard on TV on Kilgore Cable channels 2 and 23.

Carthage scores first on a touchdown pass to their sophomore tight end marquise gunn. 7-0. Hope we keep an eye on Gunn the next two years. Wouldn't mind extending an early offer to him.

Goree had at least two catches that drive.

Goree and Rutherford look good. Both fast. Rutherford is really tall

Yup. Also, Rutherford has made very impressive strides as a receiver this year. I think we got a really good one in Rutherford too, and not just as a goal-line target.

Carthage wins 34-23. Been fun keeping up with them winning this playoff season. Congrats to those guys and the future mean green

No kidding what a great year. I can't remember being so excited about a player and Rutherford aint no slouch either. Someone said Tee amassed like 1600 yards this season!
