Anybody got an oral surgeon in Lewisville?

I need to get this wisdom tooth out of my head and I need to get it out soon.

Looking for someone who will:

Pull this tooth out of my head without preaching to me that I'm going to hell for the condition of the rest of my teeth.

Prescribe me real pain medication (read: vicodin) for post procedure. I promise I'm not scrip shopping. I had a dentist refuse that once after botching an oral surgical procedure -- badly, because he believed everyone who asked must by definition be an addict.

Takes cash in the form of debit card drawing from HSA -- I don't bother with dental insurance as I've never seen it provide me any tangible benefits.

Can get me in late afternoon. My PTO for the rest of the calendar year is spoken for, so I have to drive in from Fort Worth, get this tooth pulled out of my head, go home, cry a little bit, suck down some pain killers, laugh at some Ren & Stimpy on Netflix, and suck it up and crawl into work on Friday. I could also get it yanked on Friday afternoon, but probably not Saturday. At any rate, I can't sleep.

I reiterate I'm in Lewisville. I don't have anybody to pick me up or anything like that, so I need to stay fairly local.

Meh. Ended up using 1-800-dentist because any and all referrals are booked up through approximately the year 2578.

That was the first guy I called. Booked halfway through January. I ended up with an appointment at some place on hebron. I have no idea. Just that they'd take me. I wish I could be a little more discerning, but oh well.

Wow..I am a tad late to this party, but...how did it go? All better now, hopefully? Feel for you...here's hoping it is all done and a thing of the past now.

BTW...a good craft beer makes most anything feel better! Note to OldGuy....do not drink that craft beer while taking any sort of narcotic pain killer!

Yep...always a fun deal...had a root canal and then extraction myself recently...joyful events all..

But...did the place you find work out enough that you might use them again if needed? Always good to have a second option in the case of an emergency and all that.

Actually, yes. I first went to a dentist who took one look at the x-ray, and refused to attempt the extraction. She referred me to an oral surgeon in Plano. As far as getting the inside of your face sawed in half and pulled into next Tuesday goes, it was a really good experience. The good news is that the rest of my teeth are, considering my ever advancing years, in really good shape. I just need to schedule a cleaning, and everything else is super groovy.
