Not even on the radar of the "most under-the-radar" bowls

Recommended Posts

It's gotta be hard for UNT to market a game to it's own area/market when it seems no one in the college football world seems to care about it.

Apparently, the HOD is nowhere near their radar.

I would love for this game to have something epic happen to make people regret not paying attention to it. I would like to see a hard hitting game where it comes down to the wire. Something like a 31-28/21-20 win. Maybe overtime. Yeah, it would be great to blow out UNLV, but i would love to have a game that has plenty of people talking that night or the next day. And there's nothing better than last minute heroics.

Stop fretting. Get up, have a couple bloody marys to clear the NYE cobwebs. Go to the game. Have fun at the game. Get home safely. Rinse, wash, hopefully repeat next year.

I'm generally not a very positive guy. People call me a cynic, a curmudgeon, unpleasant to be around. But I love that we're playing in Dallas on a day when I don't have to work. Any other bowl, even the BCS national championship, there would be no way I could attend.

Totally agree. I'll be there! And I get loud!

Instead of it being close, I'd like a highlight reel with 2 main things on it: our D hitting them really hard over and over again, and Brelan returning punts and kickoffs at an insane level over and over again, all on the way to a blowout. I really doubt it, as I expect it to be close, but that's the kind of thing that would make people pay more attention. If they didn't care before, 31-28 with or without overtime probably won't make them care, but something like what I described would help with the "holy crap look at that" factor.

HOD Bowl officials taking a G5 school as our opponent did not help our cause or ticket sales (although I think those are going well with 2 weeks to go).

Word is they could have picked from Pitt, Syracuse or Boston College since no Big 10 school was left to play in our bowl game. Those 3 hardly Top 10 schools, but far ahead of any MWC school.

WTH...I've got a $75 ticket and no one is going to spoil New Years Day for this alum

GMG!

The deal is, some sort of classic OT type of game will get highlights. If we blow UNLV out, they'll probably just list our score and not even show anything. Not with some of the other NYD match-ups.

Obviously I wanna win 56-0, it just might not be the best national TV coverage wise.
