it's all about priority points...well, until the end of the day...

Kinda curious how that's gonna work out for me. Depending on which page of my account I visit, I range from $0 to very much not $0. No idea how many priority points, if any, I have.

Hilarious, this is. Two days ago the sky was falling and today we're on top of the world. No complaints at all, just funny how bipolar this board and its posters can be sometimes.

This board? It was an athletic dept tweet and mean greener that was worried about the sky falling.

i dont know how many points i have. im just a recent grad level with first year tickets. hopefully im not totally shafted

The worse case scenario is that you are in the lower bowl between the 20s. If you have just an individual ticket I'd bet that you do very well.

I bought my parking pass from HOD. They use a ticketing system/purveyor called Tix. At checkout my options were 1st Class Mail or (DUH) Will Call :lol: . What, me worry? My pass is being mailed.

Two days ago people were relying on the words of 19 year olds working in the ticket office and today they are doing the same thing.

I find that if you're just patient and ride it out without reacting most of the time, everything turns out just fine in one way or another.

Parking passes are sold out? What does this mean for people who have not purchased one as of today?

I wonder if maybe they're allotting more of those along with allotting more tickets? Everyone else's response seems to be to the contrary but I'm curious...no matter the answer, it may change tomorrow anyway.

Mine was an Aggie grad named Caleb.

I guess they are good for something after all.

Holding positions that could be filled by anyone with a pulse?

I think you will actually see one more uptick in ticket buying before all is said and done. Some people had to get their "head count" finalized and MANY North Texas fans are just habitual procrastinators.

That's what I was waiting on,a head count, bought 15 today. The deadline for priority points purchase was today. Seats will be assigned based on points. So no actual priority points holders seats had been assigned yet. They actually called me back to see how I wanted the seats sorted, a row or stacked. Edited by filmerj

      This world does not exist anymore. It used to, but not in the portal and NIL age of college football. If players cared about coaching staff stability they would not be transferring at the rate they are. If this thinking permeates our AD, then they need to look for a new line of work because that ship sailed. Seriously, how many 17-18 years olds sit down and review the contracts of the coaches to decide which offer to take? High school recruiting should be de-emphasized. It can't go away completely, but building a program through the high school ranks over multiple years no longer works. When recruiting high school players, I think the only "stability" play is academic stability. There are a lot of players that have the skill and ability to play D1 football, but won't make it to the next level. Hopefully they are smart enough to realize that. Sell them (and their parents!) on playing a sport they love and getting a solid education and degree while they do. That's why it's important to continue to improve the academic status of UNT. We're not going to be a Stanford, but improving 4-year graduation rates and tighter admission standards will help.

      At this point in the football cycle, if you fire a coach then you throw away all the recruiting work being done for the following seasons. The portal opens up in just a few days, and most AAC schools build their next years roster in the transfer portal. How hard is it going to be for these programs to build rosters for next season if they dont have a head coach going into the transfer window?

How we mocked them for stupidly going from an Independent in the 90’s to wasting the mega bucks on travel in the WAC in the 2000’s, and their obnoxious fans coming here talking trash? Then 2012 happened…… https://coachad.com/news/did-louisiana-tech-really-turn-down-a-bowl-game/ They had elevated their program to the point that when they lost the last two conference games of the ‘12 season finishing 9-3, and ending as the nation’s #1 offense, they were so damn upset over it they chose, either directly or indirectly to not play ULM in the Independence Bowl. That announcement was the day I practically fell in love with their school and their program because to me it was the greatest stance on principle and accountability and a standard they felt they had set for themselves and held to. Since then, we’ve been there several times, you and me, and have seen how poor their athletics were funded all those years, which gained even more respect from this college athletics fan. That’s where I am as a fan and alumn of NT right now. Wishing we would set a standard, a high standard and stick with it. Rick
