JUCO signing day tomorrow (12/18)

Tomorrow is signing day for JUCOs who wish to enroll for the spring semester. Looks like we will see AJ Smith and Josh Greer sign and enroll with us. Vito says we aren't looking at getting another offensive lineman, and we seem to be done at qb, rb, wr, lb, db, kicker, and doesn't look like we'll take a tight end. With most likely only 2 spots left, according to Vito, they will probably be spent on d-line.

Do we get a JUCO guy tomorrow? I think Max Martial is supposed to enroll next semester somewhere so he might be signing. Nothing on him from Vito so it would be quite the surprise. If we don't sign anyone tomorrow we'll either be looking at signing a JUCO who won't come in until next fall or maybe a couple more high school kids like Tyler Washington and/or JT Williams.

Do we know who all of the visitors were this last weekend? Do we see anyone else sign with us tomorrow?

Man if there are some coming it will be from out of left field... Nothing out there that I cave heard or seen...no clues whatsoever.

If we don't sign Martial tomorrow we are going to be in a world of hurt at defensive tackle.

The only DT with size is Sir Calvin Wallace and I don't know what his situation is. He was on the sidelines last year in his #70 jersey and was the only non-transfer without his name on the back. They'll have to put Alex Lincoln back at tackle again from the looks of things. The other two defensive tackles, Syd Moore and Mustafa Haboul are undersized. Austin Orr looks to be the only defensive lineman that could be bulked up enough to handle the position. This has been a problem for years now and never seems to get addressed. Does the coach not have any input into the recruiting?

Never know with Mac and the complicated allocation of ships to time frames, how many ships are left. You never know how many walk-ons are going to be awarded ships, but there always seems to be more scholarships available than Vito reports.
