:thumbsu: This could be big if it holds and it seems it will...he had some pretty important last minute offers.

Me'thinks something is going on as to where we could be losing one of our QB's to grades or maybe something of a personal basis? Then...maybe nothing in that area is going on and we just need a QB who has played at even the JUCO level with good recruiting guru ratings from those who saw him.

Congrats, Coach McCarney! "YOU!".............are doing your job (as many of us thought you would from Day One).

Awesome, let the speculation begin on the depth chart! I think by targeting this kid, Mac has intentions on him having a great shot at starting, why else would he of added to a crowded roster spot (same reasoning we had for Berglund...)

My educated guess:

1) Greer

2) DJ

3) Berglund

4) Mini Mac

5) Means

Coach Canales was the one that secured this player.

Dajon Williams is the real deal. When it's all said and done he will go down as one of the best the Mean Green have ever seen. I think it's smart to bring on Greer, but he is a long shot to start if Dajon is healthy and ready to go this spring. Competition is always good...i expect it to between the two and maybe Bergland if he can get the reps. Anyone know the type of QB Greer is? Pocket passer? Dual threat?

Then congrats! Coach Canales! Chico is the Man who got his man on this recruiting venture.

Last I heard, he has 3 years of elgibility and will be playing Spring football with the Mean Green in a few months, too.

Again,,,,,,,,,,you can never have enough QB's because it's amazing how so quickly a team can be down to just 1 (or 2) due to injuries. I mean look how quickly Dajon got hurt and on that theme, has he received his medical RS?

I am not so sure the coaches even know that one.

What has DW shown that gets him such high marks? I hope he is the next Seneca Wallace but I tap the brakes on anointing him as the Football JC just because he saw a taste of action against Idaho. Bringing Greer in was the right move

He can play 2 football seasons in 3 years

I like the signing and believe this will provide Williams with the competition he needs to continue to improve. I also think Williams is our QB of the future, but he will be a redshirt freshman next year and still young. He could easily win the starting role, but if he falters, I think Greer will be there ready to go. I also think it tells us what the prospects of McNulty and Berglund moving up the depth chart...not likely. I honestly expect Berglund to transfer to a FCS school.

Ever heard of Brent Osborn?

That's what I'm envisioning. DW was giving DT a run for his money during fall camp, now we bring in a not so highly touted Juco to compete. McNulty has started in the past and has been the backup for a couple years now. BB has talent but may not fit or understand the system. But he's 3rd string. Throw in Connor Means to redshirt. It just doesn't make much sense. I would much rather have this scholly used on a JUCO DL.

This tells us a lot. McNulty is not in the running. 2 years in a row a juco is brought in. He's not in the future plans.

Brock has one last shot this spring I guess, but he's gonna be third at best. They have given up on him. I doubt he returns if he is not at least the #2 on the depth chart, and he most likely wont be.

At first I thought it was a wasted move, but it makes sense if they have given up on Brock and McNulty. It looks as if we are going to really open it up next year. Gotta have two reliable qbs that can run every play without a limited playbook. Especially if we truly plan to run the qb.

hopefully this is an upgrade at the qb, and at minimum, the #2 is close to being capable of running an offense similar to what we had this year.
