This year, I bet he gets paid 35k to NOT do the radio show.

If he is willing, and the university says "nevermind," he still gets paid. I bet that is what happens.

The questions from the crowd portion would either be the most wheels off, must hear radio ever OR there would be no questions, because there would be no crowd.

Either way, it looks like the AD is smart enough to avoid either scenario and just do away with the show, which also has the added benefit for the AD of not publicizing basketball at this point.
