I actually think it's important for us to win as many games as possible to attract decent candidates for our imminent coaching search. Also, I don't want too many of our players to transfer once the new regime begins.

I think the evidence against Benford speaks for itself at this point. No additional embarrassing losses are necessary to punctuate that point. So hey,...I'm happy we didn't blow it today.

Unfortunately the same logic isn't shared by the likes of RV. In the end, most people forget about how bad a win was so long as it was a win. Right now, so far as the AD and the higher-ups are concerned, this is a winning basketball program...so there is really no need for a move.

Had we lost this game things could have REALLY gotten out of hand. Still not happy about things but calling it as I see it. This keeps the Hyenas at bay until the next game at least...

I think you underestimate the effect of the worst D1 team on our schedule taking us to the wire.

And being the worst D1 team on OUR schedule means you really, really, really, really, really, really, really suck.

I was simply stating that this was a win Benford sorely needed after the embarrassment against SFA. Are you really disputing that?

I made it clear after the SFA debacle I'm through giving him the benefit of the doubt. He needs to produce and I think he knows that.
