Tech eyeing our recruits

heard from my tech friend that they are interested in some of our recruits, especially shaquel Jackson. i'm sure a lot of these recruits will be contacted by "bigger" programs once the dead period is over. I would hate to lose some of these guys this close to the end.

Great. SMU did the same and look at them now. Kingsbury is to Tech as was Kinsler to the Rangers. He will hit some home runs early every year, but will end up a .270 hitter overall, make mistakes at the wrong time, the ladies will love him for his looks, but he won't lead Tech to the big win and will wear out his welcome.

Hopefully these kids won't be swayed by his fancy appeal and speeches. It's a school in the middle of nowhere and a team that might do a couple of things every couple of years that make people say, "Oh hey, they're still around."

Nothing new about any of this....it's happened almost from the beginning of the NCAA's modern era in the 50's.

Tech? Great school! Many friends of mine went there & some of you who I know with close ties did too BUT......... how many SWC and Big 12 championships have the Red Raiders had since 1956? Not mean't to be negative with that comment but it is what it is.

Still hoping the QB and another special player from Desoto HS are in the mix no matter what we've read from the TCU board, too.

Don't forget to add TCU to the scavengers. I'm watching to see how much our former commitments actually get to play. I'm sure that they will take a run at Goree and Davis at the least.

I hope that we can retain Trice for the coaching staff. He knows first-hand what it's like to be at a P5 school vs. North Texas. It's also why I don't want any commitments until after the recruit has visited, officially or unofficially, and can talk to the current players.
