I read the previous threads but they were before the city's vote on Tuesday. With the expansion of I-35 and possibly Sac & Save going away (sometime in the future) the area should really be nice.

The last time I was there was 1999 or so. Saw a cockroach run across the aisle in front of me. Said screw this. I turned around and walked out, groceries still in the cart. Never set another foot in that pizz hole.

Now Pancho's the Mexican buffet that provides numerous live cockroaches with its food (to which the manager absolutely cared not), that place can't be gone fast enough.

As did we all -- but it doesn't have to be the most visible landmark when you pull into the UNT front door either. Just relocate it.

I agree that the sack n save needs to be relocated. It's a ran down grocery store that welcomes potential students, educators, athletes, etc. and it's not a good first impression of the university.

The usual suspects are up in arms about it in the comments section - almost all of them failed City Council candidates.

They should clean up the whole area over there, and relocate sack N save, McDonald's, the gas station, and MAYBE Ihop too.

So we can have a really good entrance to the university with more green spaces and trees, and maybe an embodied huge class ring just in front of the Alumni building.
