The first email trying to entice Dallas city employees into attending the HOD Bowl has arrived. They're offering $50 tickets for $40.

I figure in a week or so the free ticket offers will start rolling my way. :thumbsu:

Can't blame them for trying. We are under a lot of pressure to furnish the crowd, since UNLV will not. It is a 'home town' team in the Cotton Bowl, so why not work the employee bases in Dallas. They should be working the Denton Chamber of Commerce, too. Also, what about the many many UNT employee? Maybe they are doing that, who knows.

They do this every year. They usually skip the attempts to sell cheaper tickets and just go straight to free. Perhaps this year, given the alumni base in Dallas, they figure they can sell a few.

In wonder if a manned kiosk in the mall would help entice mall shoppers to purchase tickets. So much stuff is sold at those Kiosks during the holidays.

Last year there was a groupon for $10 tickets the week of the game. One of my buddies from UNT went the last two years with a groupon deal.
