Not sure about the need for a Juco, it worries me about our current QBs.

I agree. We already have Wells and Means, now we are trying to add another juco qb that would make 3 for 2014. Makes me think something is going on with our current qbs.

I bet one of means big selling points was that he could come in and go through Spring.

Is Brock that bad?

Seems like we may be looking at other qbs like some transfers too.

Wells is a preferred walkon

Do y'all not remember when DT lost his freshman redshirt because we didn't have any healthy qbs or when Dodge had to move back from wr to qb because we didn't have any healthy qbs.

If you don't have enough wrs you can run heavy formations. Not enough big guys spread the field. Don't have a guy who can throw accurate past 10 yards you are screwed.

Mini Mac is great for the run option but we haven't really seen him air it out.

When Brock came in for mop up in UTEP, that was also some pretty good QB read option that sprang Lewis for large chunk of yards.

Spring game Brock played well, abandoned the pocket quickly but still made plays out of nothing.

We know he has the arm from his HS days but has yet to have a chance to showcase it at Unt.

Dajon has impressed with the opportunity in Idaho game.

Idk why they show him as two appearances, might be a mistake with Hilbert Jackson having same number.

The question is who shows up to take the leadership role come spring.

Brock had every reason to slack being 3rd string all year. He was always upbeat and vocal on the sidelines with DT and Mac. Also during Beyond the Green episodes, Brock was very tentative during QB meetings and supportive of the program.

Just my thoughts

JUCO QB's/Transfers have not fared well at UNT lately, and we appear to already be heavy, so if going after JUCO hope he is a stud versus Mac not happy with current roster

Injuries, grades, girl friend problems and sometimes family concerns of an emergency nature?

UNT coaches know what they need because of information we are not always privvy' to.

GMG!

PS: Kansas State sure had a good year with their JUCO QB.
