The Rebels won the game 34-24. True freshman QB Josh Gulley of North Texas had an impressive game passing for 422 yards and two touchdowns.

North Texas (1-8) drew within a touchdown in the third quarter on an 11-yard pass from Gulley to Brian Waters.

Gulley was involved in all three North Texas touchdowns. Along with the TD pass to Waters, he threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Troy Redwine with seconds remaining in the first half and scored one himself on a 1-yard run in the fourth period.

Gulley was 29 of 47 in the game without being intercepted.

We need to send them home with a loss this time. That would be the best gift from Dallas to Vegas since we gave them Benny Binion.

Troy Redwine was one of my first favorite players. Haven't heard the name in a while. I want to say 1995 is the year we beat Oregon state at Fouts.

It was. The winning TD was caught right in front of me. I was at the game with some neighbors (my senior year in HS) in seats around the goal line.
