Is proper fandom saying that Michigan or Iowa would kick our butts?

I am a family member, Dentonite, attended NT (briefly) and have multiple family members who are alumni and professors. Just because I have only been recently inducted into your fan forum doesn't mean I have yet adopted your bi-polar thinking style....

We WOULD TOTALLY KILL BAMA..... am I a better fan now???

That's obviously a question that can only be answered by someone with a family member on the team.

The way some of you post about family members, its a shocker that more of them aren't on here.

ESPECIALLY, those of us that have spent half the damn season bitching about how everything about our program sucks. Theres a time for that and as we PROCEED INTO THE BOWL THAT EVERYONE WANTED ISN'T ONE OF THEM.

And I would never question YOUR fandom, 90. I didn't go to an away game without seeing you this year. In my book, your opinion weighs more than most of the people on here that post BS and haven't attended a game all year.

You might have to start naming names, then.

I can not wait! Down with UNLV! Down with them so hard! Would I have been happier playing a bigger school? Yes. Regardless, this is who we got and I am still excited. Now we need to get this win and cap this great season off the right way.

Yep!!! We have already bought 10 tickets and we have our players tickets too! Going to be a blast!

For our players that read this board...

I believe in you, and I believe you could have given a BIG 10 or ACC team more then they wanted. Sorry you won't get that chance. Congratulations on a great season. I can't wait to watch y'all fight the Rebels on New Years Day at the HOD. Go Mean Green!!!

Amen, & I'll take it a step further: I believe you could have won the Heart of Dallas Bowl against ANY of the teams that were being tossed around as your opponents. It just so happens to be UNLV. Prepare well, ace your exams, & we'll see you on Jan 1.

this is a prime of example of why fanboards should be for fans, not friends or relatives... it takes tough skin to read some things, even when some things aren't meant as criticism...

outsiders looking in should see this as a group of drunk fans talking around a campfire... and nothing else... because it means about as much...

What exactly makes you think that we don't know that? MOST on here that is family has heard someone say something crappy about their player.... Some of us have heard it before they even graduate from HS. AND why is it that FAMILY automatically make opinions invalid? Does an alumni who comments from afar while watching from a TV and computer mean more than someone who FOLLOWS THIS program rather than the completely different one of 2- 10 years ago....? Some of you are ridiculous.

My wife (a coach's wife unfortunately for her) has to sit in the stands and listen to parents talk down about my coaching style (choices, decisions, playing time, etc.) she has to have tough skin every game. I commend her and praise her after each and every game. That is just MS ball. I can't imagine what some of these college parents and coache's wives go through. God bless our family.

I may have missed it twice now. :(

So I say that realistically we aren't at a Big 10/ 12 caliber yet and that we are on our way to GRAND improvement within our program and somehow that makes me an extremist? Please advise.
