It's included in their $50K per year tuition...thank you Duke!

It does make sense that with tuition that high, it would be all-inclusive. Pretty sure almost all of our students, current and former, prefer our reasonable rates with the expectation that you'd throw in the extra few bucks yourself when something like this comes up.

Seriously?

Are you talking about the same group of students that, during the bowl years, the athletic department was reluctant to require that student ID's be scanned before entry to games lest it annoy the students and they might not come to games?

There was a tea shortage in India back in 2010 due to pest damage to crops. This three-year-old story of a beverage that I don't drink in a continent on the other side of the globe in a country I never aspire to visit is equally important to me as anything the Duke athletic department does or how much its students pay for athletic events regular or post season.

My wife works at Duke. While it is correct that many of the students are indeed "rich", it is equally true that many come from less advantaged backgrounds. As with most of the highly endowed elite universities like Harvard, Princeton, etc., if a student is accepted at Duke, then they will find a way for them to attend. The average aid package there is about 42,000 and half of the students receive assistance.

Yep. I said nothing of the number of people that would attend one way or the other...just pointing out that there would probably be a revolt if UNT were to pack in "just in case" fees for bowl games or other UNT events that "might" take place over the course of the year.

I got tired of people assuming I was rich because I went to TCU for grad school. Are a lot of the people at TCU rich? I believe so, but I have learned from personal experience not to make assumptions like this. At TCU I paid half tuition and got a bunch of loans. Sadly, I studied liberal arts and will never be rich.
