Capacity of Cotton Bowl is 92,10). So even if NT sells 45,000 tickets. If only 5 percent of their fans show, The Cotton Bowl will be half empty.

UH/Penn State game I went to had around 42k. Mostly in the lower bowl. It did not seem empty nor was it quiet. Great atmosphere.

ETA - it was actually just north of 46k.

Well yeah, but none of the TicketCity/HOD games so far has hit 50K people if i recall....so we'd be doing just fine if we got 45K.

Tech has a huge alumni base in Dallas and always shows up. That being said, I went to the ticket city bowl between tech and northwestern and the attendance looked horrible, but it showed 40k in attendance and 95% was in red. For the stadium to look decent we'll need 55k at least and we won't do that, not by ourselves anyway. Hopefully dallas citizens citizens show up.

This is UNLV's first bowl since 2000. I'm sure they will travel more than 800.
