It is a different feeling this bowl season for me. I am legitimately looking forward to rooting for all of the CUSA teams in bowl games this year (though Tulane and ECU will be taking their stank to the AAC, so they aren't really playing for CUSA anyway). If we could go undefeated that would be fantastic. This is a distinct change from my feelings during the Sun Belt years. To be honest I couldn't stand the Sun Belt and rooted for whoever any of them were playing. Even though some of those teams came along, it feels like with the CUSA name, it is something we can build upon.

Also important is being able to fill all the contractual bowls slots, which the conference did, and attending them well. NT is in a position now where I believe success from other conference teams (so long as we are also finding success) can only help us moving forward.

I believe 5 bowl eligible Sun Belt teams will be staying home this year ( USA,WKU,Troy, Texas St,ULM)

"Wow" is right, can't help but feel bad for those schools. Even more reason to be happy to be done with that conference.
