Ummm...OSU is definitely going to a Big BCS Bowl game. The Bowls will trip over themselves to invite them with their following.

No this is working the opposite of what you want (we both want Michigan). The HODBowl is the bottom of the B10 pecking order. With 7 bowl eligible teams, and 7 bowls, we wanted OSU to win. That way there was 1 definitive BCS rep and the rest are available for non-BCS bowls.

With MSU winning, they are given the auto-slot and OSU will probably be taken into the BCS bowl picture at-large (looks like CMJ covers this above). Thus, only 5 remaining teams for the 7 non-BCS bowls. With the HODBowl at the bottom of the pecking order it will probably be left choosing from another conference.

That is the way I am reading all the chit chat the last few hours.

EDIT: if the BCS only takes 1 team from the B10, then isn't the game result irrelevant?

From what I understand, an Ohio State win would have given the Big 10 2 BCS team. Ohio State in the title game and Michigan State in the Rose Bowl. Am I wrong? This is the way I think the BCS picture looks now.

PAC 12- Stanford

BIG10- Michigan State

BIG12- Baylor

Title Game- Florida State

Title Game- Auburn

SEC- Alabama

AAC- UCF

At Large- Ohio State, Oregon, Clemson, or Oklahoma

I sure that At Large spot is going to be a hot topic. I can't see Ohio State stumbling into it by finishing the season with a loss. We will see

Announcers on T. V. are saying Ohio State will likely go to the Orange Bowl, while Michigan State plays in the Rose Bowl. I hope those guys are wrong. Oklahoma would be a better choice for the Orange Bowl.

Ohio State will be ranked higher, have fewer losses, with arguably even a better traveling fan base. The Orange Bowl is probably gonna pick the Buckeyes.
