DRC: Saturday afternoon bowl update

Could it be that our 1 season winning streak the last (almost) a decade has us with so few bargaining chips with the powers that be? Hence the reason why we need to lose our usual culture of 3 giant steps forward and 5 back. There really is something very positive for a program when it has about 4-5 winning seasons in a row.

I thought the HOD Bowl officials at our last 3 games at Apogee was a clincher but now? ? ? ? Who the hell even knows.

A look at the Apogee lack of attendance in those last three home games will end up costing us what could be a great opportunity . Thanks one more time little"d"!!

It is a problem that I hope the new UNT prez' will even address. Empty seats on televised games are a reflection on our school and worse.....us. What did yall think looking at Rice & Ford Stadiums today? They are 2 small private schools.....we are not.

GMG!

So, exactly how does a university president improve attendance for a football game?

Since he's in charge as UNT prez' and all department's bosses report to him, he can influence the setting of attendance goals and may even suggest quotas for those whose job it is to promote and market. Something few of us have seen in Denton of late.

Remember when some of you ask just about every August:

How many season tickets have we sold? Also recall how no one ever gets an answer for such a simple question?

If your happy with our attendance why waste your time in the discussion? It's a cinch that Coach DMac and his team cannot be happy with the turnstiles count.

Setting goals is one thing. Getting there is entirely different. Outside of setting a goal of "increased attendance" how is the new president going to help the school reach that goal?

Moot point.

I'll draw you a picture of a brick wall and you can continue your discussion with that.

If your not part of the answer then your part of the problem. Empty seats should even tell you that unless you have a fetish for empty seats.

My last response to you on this subject...now go enlighten someone else.

Setting the goal of increasing goals to increase attendance is moot? I don't understand the brevity of your post.

Sit there and think about. There has to be action (or at least some enabling of subordinates in this case) in order to reach a goal. You can't say you're setting a goal of losing 10 pounds of weight and then sit back and wait for it to happen.
