with the Oklahoma win....Baylor vs Texas means B12 title.

Looks like Baylor has a throwback uniform for their last game at Floyd Casey Stadium.

My count shows this is Baylor's 6th unique helmet for the 2013 season. That's around $200K just in helmets!

Holy Moly...that's a lot of cash solely for lids...

Too bad Baylor lost to Ok laSt. With a little shake-up, Baylor vs. Mizzou in the title game would have been cool.

FIFY

No, they've been the best team all season IMHO. Meanwhile Brown has been the topic of being fired since the 2nd week. I thought UT was gonna lose about 6 games this season. Hope the Bears cans win. Edited by CMJ

I wonder how soon College football would put a stop to all the crazy helmets? The NFL starting to clamp down on changing helmets (thus the cowboys not wearing white helmet with blue star) they say it creates a higher chance for concussion because the helmet has not had time to fit to the players head properly. I think it is a decent point, but curious if that will ever infiltrate the college level.

I also wonder how accurate that is as an excuse. When you get a helmet, should you wear it around for a week to get a good imprint, like running shoes? Ever since that came out it sounded a bit suspect to me.

Why?? If a helmet is even a little off a big collision causes the head to slam into walls of the helmet, which will then create even more movement of the brain. If the helmet fits good, then all you have to worry about is the initial contact causing the brain to move around. I know that sounds far fetched, but if the NFL who just lost a lot of $$ because of concussions is looking into it, I would assume there has to be some legitimacy to it.

You would think so...but scapegoating isn't out of the realm of possibilities. What do they do the first few times they wear the helmet? Dinner and a movie? You wouldn't want to wear it to practice or a game if it's that much of a risk. Perhaps appropriately adjusting the cushions to fit the respective players' heads in the first place could solve this problem. Yeah, I'm being a little sarcastic...but you get the drift.

TU douche logic: TAMU-Commerce alum saying "we" when referring to texass. Saying he roots for them because they are the state's team. I ask what makes them the "state's" team over any other schoolc from Texas. Another tu douche chimes in and says "because they always have been and always will be good."

I knew a guy that was a TAMU-Commerce grad and bled burnt orange. His office was covered in UT gear & pictures. For years, I thought he was a UT grad. I was blown away to find out he graduated from Commerce. Not even an Aggie fan...

I work with a SHSU grad and he wears aggie stuff and refers to himself as an aggie. He's been to one game at Kyle. Kinda sad actually. SHSU has a great football program, too. Why not support the school that actually educated you? Congrats to Baylor. They've take a lot of grief over the years. Especially from some on this board. Big 12 championship and a Heismen winner the past few years. Not bad.

I'm sad to say I know a guy that is a huge Longhorn fan and you'd swear he went to UT. He actually went to UNT and is a former Talon. I brought him to the UTSA game. He hadn't been to a North Texas game in about 15 years or so.

SHSU grads are the worst. They don't even care about their great team. Ridiculous. They have horrible attendance even for FCS. I would be angry if I were there.

I feel sorry for people like that because someone will eventually call them on it and they look like a dumb ass. Yeah, it's sometimes tough to be a die hard for a school that doesn't drop $153 mil on their athletic program. However, I refuse to wear clothing or financially support a school that didn't educate me. I wish all our alum felt that way.

The biggest example of tu douchedom I've seen was last year. A guy walked into the Buffalo Wild Wings in a tu brown shirt...and his doctor's coat.

Maybe he uses the lab coat while he scrubs toilets?

There are way too many of those right now... luckily we have been improving school spirit since 2006. Give us 10 years of solid school spirit and some winning... you'll see

We may be talking a out the same guy,.. but the one I know that fits the description of the same guy "Started" that stupid remark "Who?????" that several people yell during the Alma Mater.

..."For North Texas,....WHO????....North Texas...Weeeeeee Love"...

I hate that, and it's worse that it was started by a turncoat.
