"Heart of Dallas Bowl has picked their teams will announce 12/8"

I can't read the detail of the post -- and you have to scroll down to find it -- but basically they are stating that the HOD already knows who their 2 teams are...

Could be BS or could be true...interesting nevertheless. makes me wonder if they don't already have us and someone else slotted and are telling Rice if you win you get Liberty if you lose it's something else...

Again, Rice beating Marshall would seem to make things more clear cut for us...

Hmm...my thinking all along has been that if North Texas were the HOD's preference over Rice, then they would make their decision before waiting on the result of the CUSA championship game. If there is any truth to this claim above, then this could be very telling.

I would put money on US vs. Leach @the Cotton Bowl.

You are a student so how much could you possibly have left to bet? :hair:

If we are in the HOD Bowl, we do need to find a way to make $75 tickets become affordable for

about 10K to 12K North Texas students. Yes, that is a liberal estimate but look how many of em' went to the NO's Bowl back in the day as reported by many of you and FWIW.............we have more UNT students and even more UNT alums since we went to that bowl game 4 years in a row.

If Rice is smart, and they are, I have no doubt their preference is to play Navy in Ft. Worth if they happen to lose the championship game. Navy is a very attractive matchup and one which either of us would be competitive with.

With the B1G likely out of the picture in the HOD, the other options are are a little more of a crapshoot. The HOD may end up with a team with less name appeal, but lots of talent, which is not as good for the oppoenent (us). Assuming the pirate is still running a wild ass circus that tortures secondaries, coupled with low interest in these parts, Wazzou is not a very desirable opponent IMO.

The married woman with kids who has a younger brother on the team is a student?

I have SSP confused with another GMG.com poster. These kind of over-sights happens even more at my age now.

Sorry.

They'd probably just buy $25 end zone seats....

Not a student. I could bet with cookies too, though.

And 75 dollars in Dallas is a lot cheaper than any price tag we would have out of town.
