With recruiting season soon to kick into gear, let's hear who your top 5 favorite recruits are so far. Promising start with some very impressive commits, hard to narrow it down to 5 and hard to pick who's number 1.

My top 5

5. Andrew Jones - Has the potential to really help out our secondary in the future. Long, rangy cornerback with good recovery speed should make for some tight windows for qbs to have to fit it into.

4. Willy Ivery - Speed demon, could play as a true freshman especially in the return game. Will be very fun to watch when he gets in the open field.

3. Chris Miles - A lot of potential. Could compete for a spot next year after he redshirts and Y'Barbo, Lemon, and A Johnson graduate. Needs work cutting weight and with footwork, but he's big, strong and finishes his blocks.

2. Fonzale Davis - Another guy who could help replace Brelan in the return game. Dynamic playmaker, led DFW in receiving. Could play slot or outside, but he could be really dangerous in the slot.

1. Tee Goree - True outside receiver with height and speed. Also very polished for a high school receiver. Also just turned 17. Should be very fun to watch him develop and progress in college.

#1 Miles

I see a large opening at right tackle next year, so Miles is my #1. Kid has the size to compete right away and played 5A ball.

Seems versatile enough to play DT if need be

#2 Aaron Wallace

Not sure he qualifies, but he starts by default. Big time recruit out of Skyline and some prior major college experience at Oregon.

#3 Goree.

Like his height but even more after he gains some weight

#4 Fonzale Davis

A faster Carlos Harris. Like the potential pipeline from SOC/DISD

#5 Trevor Moore

Need a scoring threat out to 50 yards

I'm hoping for a nice early Christmas with the addition of 2-3 Juco defensive linemen (that can play)

I would also like to see an All-Conference dual-threat QB from the Juco ranks.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings to land a TOP Juco RB that can endure 25 carries per game.

Lastly, 2-3 Big 12 transfers who were top recruits out of HS but have had a tough time getting on the field.

Wallace is already on campus and practicing with the team. Eligibility shouldn't be a problem. If Trevor Moore can be a reliable kicker for us and nail some deep ones that could help take our offense to the next level even more. Beating out Zach Paul will be no easy task though.

By "don't know if he qualifies", I think he meant qualified as a 2014 recruit because he was a transfer, not qualifies academically.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification 90. Well, he qualifies in my book. He's part of the signing class and I think he could really help out so heck yeah.

Hope #1 isn't right, because we have a number of OL's already on the roster that should be in front of him like Trussell, Ellard, Rentfro, Walker, Sorge, etc... If Miles is that good, then so be it.

1. Willy Ivery - RB He was in my top 5 before we lost several offers to AQ schools. He scored 32 touchdowns as a senior? Could be the second conimg of Lance Dunbar.

2. Fonzale Davis - WR Extremely pleased that he committed to us. Huge factor in SOC's success. I expect him to be a factor next year.

3. Tee Goree - WR I didn't even know about him until recently but I'm impressed with his ability from his highlights and reading about him. If we open up passing offense he could play next year.

4. Jalen Adams - WR Great receivers in this class. Something tells me that this young man, rated one of the best receivers in Oklahoma, will really blossom here.

5. Brandon Garner - LB In spite of his failing to impress in the game that Cooley saw, I like his potential. He may need a little Wintrich and Skladany to get up to speed but it looks like the talent's there.

Of course, there is still some very good prospects that we have a decent chance of signing but the first three are pretty solid regardless of who we sign.
