Don't care if Tulsa is down this season... To beat them on the road... To finish the season with an 8-4 record when no one expected us to be any good feels great. We hadn't beat Tulsa since 1969 so excorcising those demons was huge. First winning season since 2004. We finish the season strong and head into our bowl game with confidence! Kudos to the players and the coaches!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT SEASON!!! GO MEAN GREEN!!

Anytime you beat a team for the first time in ten tries...it's big.

Again, last time we beat them I was 18 years old.....and now I'm......well, never-mind.

Tulsa is a whole lot like TCU, though, their respective AD's knew when to schedule North Texas

and when not to schedule North Texas. Notice since the 1950's how many times the Mean Green

was not on Tulsa or TCU's football schedules? Anyone ever wonder why? :zoro:

Great win! I'll never forget that game when Tulsa came to Fouts as an underdog and smoked us. This win will help kill that memory.

Proud of this team and it's SRs.

ONLY bowl team in DFW. (Yes I'm assuming UCF blows out SMU next Saturday)

Easy there... UCF is not as good as advertised. Took them 59 minutes to win against a 2-9 USF team that got blown out at home by mcNeese state and FAU this season, and last minute heroics to beat a 2-9 temple team that lost to Idaho and Fordham. SMU might not have to be good to win that one.

I remember how superior they were athletically in that game. They were just bigger, faster, and stronger.

You mean the 11-1 UCF who has beaten Penn State, S. Carolina, a previously unbeaten Louisville and the Houston team that just blew out SMU? Yeah, I'll stand by what I said.

UCF's loss came at the hands of South Carolina in Orlando

UCF should destroy SMU. But they've taken it easy against their "easier" opponents a few times and somehow pulled it off...if they keep it up, their luck could run out against the Ponies next week. Notice how SJSU was fighting like crazy to get a bowl berth and upset Fresno...you can bet SMU will be going at the same pace. So they'd better be on their game if they expect to get that last win.

I have to agree with Emmitt01. Not to mention this was the first time to ever beat USF.
