Future Indoor Facility on the Plains?

Why wait for baseball? Do it, make it happen. If High Schools can put one of these up then so can North Texas. If recruits come and visit from legitimate HS programs and North Texas doesn't have an indoor facility, but his HS did, wouldn't that make him scratch his head a bit? Money coming into UNT off of tuition alone is over half a billion dollars a year. What's the hold up? Rhetoric.

You do know that tuition dollars can't be used to build an indoor athletic facility, right?

I say we partner with Denton ISD and build a big indoor practice facility.

I say that is an awful idea. North Texas is trying to bag some of the top tier local talent, not share facilities with them.

I agree that it's probably not the best idea, considering we would have one college and three high school football teams all wanting to use the facility at the same time.

We don't need that right now. Get baseball and things that will put us in line to hopefully get into an even better conference later. We don't have the funds those larger schools have and can use the funds wiser right now. I still feel it's good to have your team practice in weather that they could play in. That's my opinion for what it's worth. Once we have money just flowing into the athletic dept then maybe that's something we should look into. If it means playing teams on the road just for money and all, I'm really not for it!
