Holy Cow 5 goals in the third period, 3 goals in 53 seconds.

Nice win.

They are getting better.

Can they now fix their power play?

Awesome game. Best part about it is they didn't have to rely on the first line to carry the load. Their power play is ridiculous and it's seriously not explainable. I would think they'll get better as the season progresses but we're approaching December. Way too many giveaways in the first period but as long as the current D core is here it will be wheels off. I also stumbled across this that I was amused by.

They still need a good PP QB and a big, physical Hatcher-like defenseman to put the other guy on his ass and occassionally crash the net. I believe the latter is a year away. This current team can play, but they are young. The only reason I can think that Ellis got the start tonight is to rest Kari for the next game against division foe Chicago. The 3 goal burst showed what these guys are capable of.

Alex Goligoski is driving me crazy

With Daley getting hurt Goose won't be going anywhere and he'll get to eat up quite a bit of ice time. Connauton was superb today and Val...what can I say...still amazing this kid is only 18 years old. The Daley injury looked pretty bad. I'd expect he'll be out for a little bit of time at least. In one way that could prove to be super beneficial and forcing Oleksiak and Connauton to play a lot more and every game while he's out.

Bernier was just stellar today in net. He had a performance like Kari had against Chicago on Tuesday night.
