Tulsa has had the reputation of being a high scoring offense in the past but the loss of some key talent has seen the scoring fall way off in 2013.

The team has also struggled defensively and when both are combined we have a team that hasn't won a lot. The Golden Hurricane did rise to the occasion with a 24-14 decision at Louisiana Tech which ended a four game slide against what was a Bowl hopeful Bulldogs squad. TU mustered 368 yards to give them a slight edge over the home team but both teams struggled to hold on to the ball with four turnovers each. Trey Watts led a grinding ground game with 189 yards on 40 carries with three touchdowns with Ja'Terian Douglas adding 58 yards. The Golden Hurricane needed the run to come through because the passing of Dane Evans (12-20/120) was off the mark with a trio of picks.

Tulsa has had problems the entire year but North Texas on the road is far from reliable. I don't care for this match up at all with this being away from home for the Mean Green so take this pick for what it's worth...
