This could actually be the start of what could grow in to a nice Texas rivalry. SMUt and TCUnt have gotten to interested. I like San Antonio as a city. A rival would be nothing but good for both programs.

Rivalry is a must. If you haven't noticed, we don't have one. Another strong Texas public school with a good TV market and a great travel trip both ways? It's a match made in heaven. Plus, we need somebody in Texas to beat up on a regular basis.

Idaho, on the road, in 2001. A conference championship and a trip to our first bowl game in 40 years was on the line that night, and the Vandals had one of the nations top offenses and worst defenses. Afterwards Mean Green fans spilled out of the bars and into Fry street singing the fight song.

Then several of us escorted Adler to the lighting of the tower and covered the Eagle Statue with green Mardi Gras beads he brought.

Awesome night.
