N.O. Bowl: SHSU (9-3) vs Ga. Southern (8-4), 6:00pm ESPN-2....UNT's future Defense on display!
Probably a bit smaller than a true DE, but much more versatile. If teams are living in 3rd and short 2 or less. Odds are they are kicking your butt and 3rd down is the LEAST of your worries. A very good NIL message from Coach Morris
One thing you can say for Coach Morris - he’s very self and program aware. I really hope the Cassidy hire works out for him. He does seem to be learning and adjusting to the ever evolving FBS landscape. -

Agree. If the new QB is similar to median Chandler Morris, and a new defense is 50% better than this seasons, that could generate 3-4 more wins. -

Not thrilled about playing State
Based on the decisions made at the top, they don't expect or want more. (example: RV the guy you basically fired as AD named president of NIL a few years later). We are exactly where we are supposed to be with a 6-6 record. In my opinion and many others there are way too many bowl games when team 5-6 vs FBS competition are in bowls every year. I wouldn't be thrilled to be playing any G5 team in a bowl game with our 6-6 record. If we win the game it is of no consequence. If we lose it just sours a mediocre season more. If not financially punitive, if I were AD I would turn down bowl bids when the team is 6-6 and ends the season with a win. Especially as long as the transfer portal schedule isn't changed. Might as well be playing Texas State in an exhibition game. Which are all bowls are with rosters influx.
