What we did(mostly the students) on Halloween was pretty awesome... For us.

My wife, 3 year old, and 6 year old came out... And a couple of buddies came out.

Overall, we should be proud of the showing during the week on a holiday. Sign of good things happening... And hopefully good things to come.

Think of the crowd we would have against rice if we were undefeated and ranked #15. It would've been wry close to a sell-out I bet. To be fair they are about twice as far from Chicago as we are from Dallas, and with traffic on a week night that makes things tough.

Southern Miss down 27-0 at half against FAU. I keep telling myself that they'll be a tough division foe for us down the road, but I don't know when. They really might go winless again. 2 straight winless seasons would be a really deep hole to dig themselves out of.

Man, they are worse than Todd Dodge bad.

Aside from FIU (terrible) and Texas St. (1st year FBS program), have they had one other game that was within 4 scores?

Just terrible.

41-0 start of the 4th.

FAU will be bowl eligible by years end.

And SMU will be a sellout next Fall at Apogee? Only if there are 31,000 green-clad fans in the stadium (which I hope there are) will that happen.

SMU should rehire Mustang Maniac promo guy Brad Thomas (if he's not retired) to show them how you can actually get bodies attached to all those free tickets inside the stadium on a Game Day.

For North Texas to get 2,500 kids in the Wing Zone each game next Fall (?) (HINT! HINT!) we would need to for each game (as I recall the Mustang Mania formula on such things) get 10,000 free tickets (or pre-purchased by a corporation so called "free tickets") out into Denton County middle/elementary schools, peewee football, kids soccer teams, scouts, etc, etc, etc, and then you have a real chance for 2,500 kids (along with a parent or 2 who have to buy a full priced end zone ticket to accompany their kids). Rule #1: You cannot leave such free tickets in an athletic department office drawer to collect dust).

Like Russ Potts and Drex have always said: An empty seat cannot buy a coke, hot dog, T-shirt, etc, etc, etc,...

(Hey! We can still dream that something like this might actually happen in some of our's fading into the sunset lifetimes, right)? :sick0004:;):)

GMG!

What happens after next year?

After this season ends their AQ bid goes away. Louisville, Rutgers (and I think Cincinnati too) leave the conference. Literally every reason to place the AMerican airlines Conference above CUSA in the eyes of Texas fans' eyes is gone.
