Columbia 39

NT 29

Halftime

Surely the Lions will cool off?

Last season I thought we were often the victims of bad luck when it came to other teams' surreal three point percentages against us, but at some point you have to blame your defensive style, right?

11-16 threes is hard to beat, behind by ten at half 29-39.

Other than the threes they have two fgs and one free throw.

Hopefully they cannot keep up this shooting pace, however it seems last time NT played Columbia; they did just that.

Best positive is NT only has 4 fouls

FIFY.

Hehe -- but especially Columbia. In 2011 when we played them, they also hit a ton of threes. Oddly enough, if was in another one of those early season tourneys.

They are great shooters in general. But it's close heading into the half

Lets see if that holds true by the end of the game.

10:24 to go ---Columbia timeout

The Lions have cooled off, and we are doggedly hanging in there.

Seems like all their guys are sophomore and freshman. A few juniors of course, but most of their team was still in high school the last time we played them two years ago.

UNT DOWN by 3 with 18 secs to go and the ball!!!

Plenty of time to work for a tie game. 69-66 after being down by 10 at the break.

Vaughns has 18.

Walton missed a quick three... they have two FT to ice the game. Their guy makes the second and the lead is 4 points... 11.5 seconds and no timeouts.
