How many of Benford's guys have actually contributed? Also, acquiring talent is only one aspect of college coaching. Managing, coaching and growing that talent are the others. Benford has failed, up to this point, in these areas. Doesn't look good this season either, including tonight against freaking Nichols State!

Coach can definitely recruit! I would argue that this team top to bottom is more talented than last year. Combs is a complete stud!

Again congrats to the basketball staff!

Hope all you thumb suckers don't get to pissed! NOT!

I'll applaud Benford's recruiting when the class isn't ruled academically ineligible before a minute of basketball is played.

Right now the one freshman on the team is in academic purgatory waiting on some ruling from the NCAA on whether he can play or not. We have 2 sophmores on the squad and only Maurice has contributed any minutes to this still very young season. Everyone else are Juniors and Seniors.

Tonight a majority of his guys carried the team... And we won. Please explain the problem with that...? auburn is a good team and beat them by what 6 or 8 more points then we did...? Get a clue!

On top of that Nicholas State leads our series like 8-3 all time. I'm sorry they are not duke or UT... There are over 300 D1 teams and a lot of them are very solid programs. But keep judging by the name. It makes you look like you know what you are talking about... SMH

Nicholls is not a very solid program. Since 2000, they have posted a 113-233 record.

Quit trying to bad ass everybody. We beat a team we should have beat.

And quit shaking your head, you're probably gonna vomit.

They have beat us badly over the past what 20 years... Where is the room to talk? We beat them. Be happy. I know we should have beat them... But anyone can get upset at any time. I just like seeing the team grow. Lots of room for improvement, but they are going to be fun to watch this season.

Actually, with tonight's win, we are now 8-9 all time against them.

I thought the handout from tonight's game had as with a lot less wins. You may be right. I did not bring it home with me. Maybe I read it wrong or they typed it wrong

Our last three meetings:

2006 W 76-71

2005 W 98-82

1996 W 81-67

That's close enough to 20 years for me.

I am only going off what I picked up at the game. Did you bring tt home? I may be wrong because I left it in the seats. Either way we won and it looks to be on par with what we did in 2005 and 2006... Edited by Andrew
