Did UNT really lose to Ohio?

Because, gosh is this loss turning out to be worse and worse. bowing green 49, Ohio 0.

Luckily the BCS computers don't take margin of victory into account. But all other computers do, and this will certainly hurt UNT in all of those. Looks like ohio might be one of those teams that are eligbile this year, but will not go bowling.

Yeah, Ohio has really crapped out lately which hurts us. And 1/3 of the BCS rankings are based on an amalgam of computer rankings, so the margin does hurt us a bit as well since those other rankings are factored into the BCS computer formula.

Georgia not turning out quite as mighty as expected, and Tulane now showing their true colors won't help a lot either. I guess about the only thing we've got going for us in the BCS world is Ball State and Rice. Well, I guess the Middle victory won't hurt either.

Watching the highlights, Ohio's secondary looked like they didn't give a crap, but that's a small sample size. Terrible tackling. But, 49-0 is a weird score for those guys. Something's going on for sure.

We should have beat Ohio and Tulane, in both cases our Offense choked in my opinion. Our Offense still scares me and I am still worried how they will show up.

We know how they will show up...many wearing suits for the walk about 10-15 min. ahead of their scheduled time so lots of us will miss it! Ha!

I looked up in the middle of cooking last week and they were on us and I was in a situation where I could not run up to the walk way.

Lots of 1st half 1st down running plays in both those games. Completely predictable offense. Lets hope those days are behind us.

Yup. They have 2 more games where they can be the way they've been and we should still win because of D and Special teams. If we play at Apogee for the CUSA championship then maybe the offense could still get away with that, but if we played at ECU we'd definitely need more than they've been giving us.

      Who did better? PAC 12 or Mountain West?

      MWC is a push in overall terms from before the raid to after. Still a solid G6 but lower than the AAC in my mind. PACx has survived, which is all one can really expect for a conference that got shattered in the realignment. But the 2 legacy P4 schools cannot elevate that new version higher than the G6 bunch. Both of the conferences will get low-to-mid TV coverage, and fill the late schedule spots. For the AAC, I'm happy with Army over SMU. I wish we could have pulled Air Force, but so be it. I do expect the PACx to make another run at Memphis, that should be interesting. Fun fact: I've been tracking the realignment via a spreadsheet. As of the NIU change, 46 teams have changed conferences since OUT announced their move to the SEC.

      Because Morris & Cobbs believed they didn't need to. I think McGill, Harris, & Evans are returning, but who knows if Harris or Evans will even be healthy? We added Becks from MOSt, and Hawkins from HS in OK, but who knows what they bring? I don't know that McGill is a starting caliber RB in the AAC. If you think Porter should have been scholarship'd, you're second-guessing Pat. I doubt anyone around here really wants to second-guess Pat's judgement of talent. OR (and this is doubtful), Pat pushed to have Porter 'shiped, but Morris said "no". If that's the case, and Porter goes on to ball-out at UTEP while we struggle in the run game, it's another log on a growing fire under Morris' seat.

      The PAC stands a real chance of becoming the 'Big East of the West', but I think they'll still be fighting to get into the CFP each year with the rest of the G5. MWC obviously is a huge downgrade since they're the conference that got raided. The best thing they have going for them is stability. Outside of AFA and, to a lesser degree, NIU and UNLV, no one has any interest in those schools. AAC did well with the Army pickup. What happens in the next few years under the new commissioner will be important. As a conference, we've scheduled ourselves into a one bid joke like Sun Belt or CUSA. They've gotta figure out some strategy there. For football, it's hard to say we're better or worse off than last year. SMU going to the CFP was a fluke compared with the past 30 years, but I imagine they'll be a stronger program in general than they were in the AAC due to the amount of money and attention the ACC brings. At least while it lasts...

      In terms of the Pac12/MWC tweet above and what they both started with (not the legacy Pac, the WSU and OSU Pac), the Pac12 came out way ahead of the MWC. They need 1 more right? Where do they get it or do they try to add more than one. In terms of the AAC, SMU out and Army In. Love having another service academy as a conference mate and it was probably the best move the conference could make...national recognition and following. The whole Army/Navy game piece is kind of a monkey wrench. Overall, with SMU's performance and getting into the CFP this year makes the loss of SMU a bit more that the addition of Army (at least this year). Let's see how the next couple years pan out.
