Hotel at Apogee Stadium

Last week I thought how nice it would have been to stay at a hotel at Apogee....anyone hearing anything else about this hotel...will be a great addition to the Apogee complex.

Was thinking the same thing. I visualize a nice atrium on the west side that overlooks the stadium.

Build a first rate hotel at Eagle Point and compliment it with O'Neil Ford's Art Deco tower design from the thirties. That would give the campus a fantastic physical icon that would be seen for miles.

I can't wait for the hotel to be built. Since the Stadium was designed by the guys who did the Death Star, think Gene Jones will do the artwork?

I was just talking about that at the game. Everyone loves the idea. Since I am working on a Hospitality Management degree I am pumped. Sadly, I will be done in May and that think will not open till way after that I assume, but it will be great for the school and the department.

I think the hotel causes the wing zone to become enclosed when the stadium is (maybe eventually) expanded. If you look from an ariel shot or look at the master plan if stadium expansion was only on the student side then that would cause removal of the hill, as the expansion would take up some of the hill, and the hotel would take up the other part of the hill. Instead the stadium will only be expanded very slightly on the student side (up to the entry gates) and the rest of the expansion comes with the enclosure of the wing.
