Also notable from the list: 24. Ball State (9-1, 6-0)

New to the top 25 (previous ranking):

"No. 24 Ball State (No. 28). On Wednesday, the Cardinals meet MAC West Division rival Northern Illinois in the non-AQ game of the year."

What was the highest ranking we got during our bowl run? My guess would have been 2002ish but if anyone knows I'm curious to see how high we were ranked during that run.

Non-conference losses really messed up those teams' rankings. Hard to move very high in the sunbelt if you already have 3 losses heading into conference.

I know that we were several times listed in the section, "Also receiving votes"... but I don't remember us ever breaking into the top 25. Not since the 70's or so I am told.

We received 56 votes, enough to be ranked #16, during the 8th week of the 1959 season.

On some of the polls we were in the 38 range 2002 or 2003ish

With a vote here and there for a top 25 if I remember correctly

Bigger question up until this year when was the last time we beat a team that would finish with a winning record. I think we will have more this year than all of the bowl years together.
