WVU and KSU will get to 6--both Kansas and Iowa State are just awful.

Kansas is awful. Iowa State has lost some close games. Four of their losses - Texas (1 point), Texas Tech (7), Iowa (6), and TCU (4) - have been by seven or fewer points. They will not be a gimme for West Virginia.

And, no way TCU beats both Kansas State and Baylor.

Tulane might be the one that gets the shaft, as they have terrible attendance and they are leaving CUSA. No tears for Tulane.

This thread went down hill quick.

1. UNT is in a good spot with CUSA. The "extra" bowl eligible teams will be in the SBC and MAC and those teams will have a hard time finding a bowl home.

2. The Big 12 has 7 bowl tie-ins. Its on their website, I don't know why we are debating this fact.

3. It will be hard for the Big Ten to fill all their slots, but the door is still open.

4. It will be hard for the Big 12 to get an extra slot, but the door is still open.

5. Random hating on rivals serves no point. Tulane is the best fit for the New Orleans bowl, why fuss about it.

6. We are a dream match up for the HOD. The bowl would love to have a Big 12 team, but we are probably the best fit for a CUSA team.

7. Everyone is acting like the Hawaii bowl isn't an option. CUSA has to contend with bowl politics. What can they do to keep their bowl partners happy to keep the relationship going. Bowl realignment is going to following conference realignment. CUSA wants to keep its bowls, that why we are seeing articles about CUSA moving its champion to HOD (TO KEEP THE RELATIONSHIP)

If La. Tech becomes bowl eligible, they should be the CUSA rep in the New Orleans Bowl. Let Tulane sit at home or fill an at-large spot.

Not sure someone gave you a -1 for this. I actually think Tulane, ECU, and Tulsa should all be ineligible to host the conference championship game as well. La tech would have almost as many fans as Tulane even in New Orleans.

Since after this year HOD is supposed to be the CUSA every year and alternating with B12 and B10 that would make sense.
