This show has done nothing but make me truly believe in every member of this staff and the players. They truly deserve all the rewards possible from this season.

Hope he stays around if he doesn't make it to the next level. Really gonna miss his leadership & playmaking ability on the field next season. Did you notice that it was another transfer in Zed Evans that was consoling Marcus in that clip?

Right. Again. They're only contracted right now for 12 episodes, so they haven't done any airing on bye weeks.

I know that. However, for our first bye week, the show aired the week after the Georgia game. So they did air the show during the first bye week. It didn't air the week of our game against Tulane. Seems they chose to wait this time.

Another great episode of Beyond the Green. Great segment on Sarge.

Now watching the UTSA program....UTSA Insider. Really not bad, but no where near as well done as Beyond the Green! Overall quality is just so much better on Beyond the Green, and it is pretty much just a moderated update and preview show. But, did like seeing a few of their guys and hearing from them. This is not going to be a cakewalk AT ALL for the Mean Green. Mean Green is favored, and should be, and should definitely win the game. But "shoulda" mean noting. It's what happens on the field between the while lines Saturday. Here's hoping the Mean Green stays hungry and wants that CUSA Championship. If they do...we'll see Mean Green win # 8 Saturday.

Go Mean Green...Why Not North Texas! Beat UTSA!

Pretty cool segment on how the UTSA engineering and technology folks are working with the football team with a kicking simulator at UTSA.

Just watched episode 9 of Beyond The Green again.

In the locker room after the game when Coach Mac is addressing the team, you can see Sarge being overcome with emotion. He is swaying side-to-side and breathing heavily. You can genuinely see how much the victory personally meant to him.

I also love how much Jimmerson is juiced up after the victory when he's yelling into the camera. And how Orr says, "Number 1 red zone defense in the country. Not Bama, not LSU, not none of that. MEAN GREEN DEFENSE" after The Stand.

All these players are special. All the players are awesome. They are bringing back pride to UNT Football and the Mean Green Nation. Love it all.

GO MEAN GREEN.

      The Band

      I personally think that the playing music over the PA at times when the band would typically be playing has negatively impacted the cadence for when and how the band plays during the games. I don't want to be all old man about it, but if I want to listen to the stuff that is played on the PA system (majority of which I actually do like), I have about 10 different devices I can play that on myself. When I go to a college football game, I want to hear the friggin' band play during timeouts and between plays, when appropriate. It's college football, not an NBA game. When I look back at attending games at Fouts as a student in the 90s', I absolutely remember the band playing, and I enjoyed it then just as I do now. If they were playing other music, maybe they were, but I would have no memory of that whatsoever. Additionally, I know there has been some other negative thoughts about the band overall, and not that I have been in band since I played trumpet as a sophomore in high school so I am no expert, but I was absolutely blown away by the halftime performance this week. I know majority of it was a rehash of other bits and pieces that had already been done this year, but damn that was a strong close.
