"Thursday is the 43rd anniversary of the Marshall plane crash. The Herd will wear these helmets against Tulsa to honor the 75 victims."

Nice way to honor the victims. I've got a couple of family members that live maybe 5 miles from the accident, in the mountains.

Classy. I remember when that happened. I heard the initial report and thought that Marshall HS was involved in a plane crash. I had never heard of Marshall U.

There is a small roadside memorial on 75, I think, just east of the Tri State Airport. Just on the other side of the mountain is just where the crash occured. Very small airport. Love Field looks like DFW Int'l compared to it. It lies literally on top of a mountain. It's not hard to believe an accident like that could occur in bad wather.
