wasn't as thrilled about yesterday's performance as UNT90 was, clearly Mac wasn't trying to just run the ball and get the win, he wanted to try out a bunch of different stuff on offense.

defense played amazing... again... just disappointed that Jones couldn't hang on to that ball in the end zone to preserve the shut out... that would have been amazing... aside from that, i felt bad for the UTEP qb, he is about my size, and when you are on a D1 football field, that's not a good thing

lastly, i was definitely in the camp of wondering why we left everyone in for so long... and also wondering why we were throwing so late in the game... but to that end, i offer up this... Mac may know exactly the situation we are in, and despite margin of victory not being a factor in computer rankings, it definitely catches the eyes of voters, so he may be trying to run up the score a bit to try and catch the eyes of some people who aren't paying attention to UNT... and I really can't blame him too much for that... if jump ahead of ECU, life could be golden...

We kept throwing in the 4th mostly because UTEP refused to back off the line of scrimmage with their DB's into their base 4-2-5 until our last 2 possessions. "Calling off the dogs" involves both teams. When the losing team stays in a game-on posture, usually the winning one will also.

Jones reached out and tipped it, IIRC. Never had control in the first place. But I was sitting in 103, on the opposite end of the stadium.

Why was that not reviewed? It looked to me like the receiver did not gain control until after he was out of bounds? Was it reviewed and I missed it some how?

happened about 20 feet in front of me... ball went right through his hands...

It was a good catch. Saw the replay.

Looked like he had control and even had two feet in the end zone on the score board replay.

I am glad it was a good call I am closer to the scoreboard side.

I wish we had hung another 14 points on them, I believe it would have helped in the polls

Wasn't it Zac that dropped it? And yeah -- I was in 110, UTEP guy clearly had control and foot in bounds.

I believe Orr & James Jones both tipped the ball.
