His first glimpse of what North Texas has to offer as a potential bowl participant convinced Brant Ringler that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to head back to Apogee Stadium for the Mean Green’s homecoming game.

The executive director of the Heart of Dallas Bowl was impressed yet again after seeing the Mean Green hammer UTEP 41-7 on Saturday in front of a crowd of 26,119, the second-largest in Apogee history.

Honalulu?!? On Christmas Eve? Your nuts, good sir, especially since the HoD payout is much better.

Yea besides, how expensive it would be to go to Hawaii? Where is the Liberty Bowl?

I too selfishly want a HOD bowl, but I'm sure Mac wants to give these guys a special trip. And I can't blame him for that. My schedule works out for me to be able to go to all but Hawaii, st Petersburg.

Yes, it's a tough call since the vast majority of us would prefer to be in Dallas, yet if we are in Dallas, we don't have much more than a snowball's chance at breaking into the Top 25 for the first time since the 70's. I guess that's just one of those conundrum deals that will happen how it happens.

Liberty Bowl would be a great honor. It's an older bowl with history. Memphis is an easy drive from here so attendance should be solid.

Heart of Dallas is a great second choice, but most people have never heard of the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

This past spring flights on American bounced from between $800 to $2200. And considering December is Big Wave season the championships will be getting going you can expect a crappy hotel room(if there is such a thing) to cost you $350 and up a night.

Why do they even have a bowel game in Hawaii.... I wish someone would step in and limit the bowel games and make it more clear! Then work on conferences being more regional.

I don't think anyone would show up to a BOWEL game, No matter where it's held. Edited by filmerj

I'll go against the crowd, I don't think the HOD bowl is much a reward for the team. I would not be against Hawaii for that reason even though it is the one bowl I would not go to. If Liberty is for the championship than that is where I want NT to go.

Heart of Dallas has the most expensive ticket price at $75 (also the highest payout after Liberty).

Luckily I can getmy hands on lots of free HOD tickets...though I would buy one to help NT's allotment sold.
