Chancellor, and McCoy didn't look too bad, but the injuries to Rollins and D. Smith look to be serious. Anyone know the extent and status of those latter two?

GO MEAN GREEN!

Why were they still in the game?! :roadrage:

Everyone is asking that same question. Up 35 - 7 in the 4th had already had a little scare with Chancellor. Why continue to risk injury?

Correct me if im wrong but isnt Byrd are starting RB?

Yes Pegram was in the game but he is the backup and maybe even the 3rd string depending how you look at Jimmerson.

Now we are complaining because Rollins was in the game? Was he not the 3rd sting RB yesterday and the 4th sting RB to start the season?

Now if you want to argue why was Smith in the game that is one thing, but our RB have just been bad luck and not coaching issues.

Pegram did not play yesterday. He is out for the season and just had surgery 3 days ago.

Rollins is a backup in the Byrd, Jimmerson and Pegram rotation.

Smith is the big one that could really impact the last 4 games this year.

Don't know what Rollins injury is, but can any shoulder injury really be a career ended for a RB?

It appears that there might be. It may be beyond cortizone shots. REALLY hope he's ok.

Byrd was also out there pretty late. Unnecessarily.

Once Rollins went out, we should have had a steady diet of Mark Lewis. He only got in during the final series with McNulty and Berglund. He ran well too.

I'm totally on board with keeping the foot on the throat like coach McCarney preaches, but let some 2nd/3rd stringers do that. They're all fresh and ready to play. They want to prove themselves as well.

Hate to see Smith lose time, but what about D. Terrell? Seems like he should be able to slide right in to that spot and us not lose too much. Comments?

If Smith is out then Kidsy will start along with Chancellor and Harris in the slot.

Has Smith's injury been official confirmed bad do we know how long he is out?

As Vito says, Mac will usually say when an injury is one that'll be an out-for-the-year type injury, otherwise he keeps his lip tight. Hopefully that means Smith isn't done for the year, but indications weren't great on Saturday from what was said on here.
