Yep during their CFB go around they probably spent at least half the segment talking about the NT game and the whole homecoming experience. A bunch of their friends from school flew here for the game,

I will never understand how the same people who complain about lack of faithful attendance have strong negative feelings about someone attending a game.

Can't say I understand how people can graduate from one university and then claim SPORTS allegiance to another, but I'm certainly glad to welcome their return (no matter how long-term or passionate it may be).

That said, I'm sure those who have strong opinions have worthwhile reasons/experiences for holding to them.

illl take this as a sign that hopefully MANY others are following in the same steps as Junes... isn't this what we want? alums who have been indifferent or even negative towards the program to come back and realize what's here?

Funny how people say rubbish like this when turnout is good, but will complain about the small crowd when it isn't.

You can't have it both ways. I prefer it the way it is now.

Yep. Now is not the time to get high an mighty and try to exclude people for the 'club' just because they have not been here since the beginning.

Not the way it works if you want to increase tshirt sales.

Come one come all. There is PLENTY of room on the bandwagon.

Yes we all wish he was a bigger NT homer but he is still integral to probably the best sports talk show ever. And we still have George. The Junes is awesome.

George had him on the half time show and I thought he did great. He was all UNT. In fact he has been coming around for a while.

It's pretty easy. People grow up around one team or live in an area and grow up around it only to graduate from another school.

Seriously? He damages the university he attended? Since when has he put his university down? I've never ever heard him dis this university. In fact he does pull for UNT and frequently talks about the great times he had as a student here. I can also guarantee that when they do their CFB talk on Tuesday he'll mention the NT game and how he was at the game and had a great time. Be proud and happy that he was at the game. We can't and should not make any enemies at this point especially when we historically have terrible attendance and apathy at NT.

Glad he is back. I'm sure we will hear a segment on UNT homecoming on The Ticket Monday morning.

You know, the same radio station that dominates its competition in the male 24-55 demographic. The exact demographic we need to reach to increase attendance and interest in the program.

I really wish we could figure out a way to get the morning/afternoon drive shows on campus for weekday games when they occur. That would have been awesome to have them broadcasting from campus for the Rice game. Not sure what the cost is for a live remote, but guessing $3k-4k per show?

It's not cheap but the publicity would be great for the school. I think next year could be a real good possibility.

Would have loved to have seen the Hardline do their show from the alumni pavilion Friday night. You could have advertised it on campus and opened up the pavilion to the students, encouraging them to treat it like it was ESPN Gameday. It is as close as we will get to that for quite some time.

Would have been a nice build up to the bonfire Friday night, and the advertising to the exact demographic that you need would FAR offset the cost for the remote.

      Eric Morris needs to go

      I am torn on what to do with EM, but I know he needs to go. Many say we need a HC with head coaching experience at the FBS level. I know there are HCs at other FBS programs doing more with less, but would they come to a place where historically it's difficult to win consistently and risk it all if their eye is ultimately on a power conference job? Then if you take a P4 conference former HC, they have most likely been fired and they may not get the mojo back like Tom Herman at FAU or Charlie Strong. So, if that is the case where do we go? Many are saying no FCS HC or no more coordinators who have not been a HC at this level. Again where do we go if not those type of guys? My thought is that you may have to hire that guy that this board has been reluctant to go after. That's the guys who have had issues somewhere else and that's why they are no longer where they are. Lane Kiffin had issues and FAU gave him the chance to resurrect his career. Alabama gave Sarkisian (spelling) a chance to resurrect his career and he is doing good things at Texas. We have tried a lot of things, but we have not tried that route of HCs with some skeletons in their past. I feel that if that coach wins, people will forget about their past. I am sure people at Texas have forgotten about what went down with Sark at USC. Just my opinion because we have been striking out for a long time on HCs.

      I'm not sure what the path is for Cobbs long term. A lot of us would absolutely love to have him in a HC role in Denton, but we want to see him gain HC experience first. Do we take a chance and give him that crown? Do we watch him leave, and possibly not return...ever?
