Berglund

Welp, a bunch of McNulty-style handoffs, but Brock still looks quick.

Wonder what happened? Was this just a case of coaches letting Berglund in a game or has he passed Mcnulty up in practice.

There were grumblings that Berglund was in Mac's doghouse. This really intrigues me, but I'm probably just reading too much into things.

I was just listening to the KNTU broadcast, but they said that McNulty went in first before Berglund got his snaps at the end.

I wish we had put him in sooner. As if Mac did not learn his lesson when Smith went down in the end zone. Brock should have been in the last 12 minutes of the game along with the backups to prevent injuries from occurring. Also I wish our offense was not so stagnant in the 4th quarter. Every game people around us leave and say well we will win but this game is about to get real boring. I assume they are talking about the running of the ball.

Yes, Mac left DT in for at least 2 unnecessary series where he could have had McNulty or Berglund in. As soon as we scored 35 he should have been out. They were not coming back on our D.

McNulty came in after we made a first down, ran a few plays until we kicked a field goal and then started the next series. Maybe ran 1 play and then Berglund came in. Handed off twice, picked up a first down. Handed off a couple more times, then took a knee. He is definitely more animated in the way he is trying to sell the fake.

As mentioned, it would have been nice to see a couple of zone reads or sweep to see his wheels. As it turned out, it was anticlimactic.

I'm anxious to see Berglund perform. People have been writing him off and saying he will transfer but he's been sticking with it and being a team player, giving the signs from the sideline. I'm pulling for him for more reasons than his talent.

If he transfers I will be pretty upset. I have no doubt in my mind he is a better QB then Thompson. Thompson leaves his recieved out to dry and is not consistent. I am happy we are winning but against a good ECU team it will be a close game. Our defense allows us to win every game and I love that!

Those unnecessary series had our starting QB throwing to back-up WR's. I'm no coach but it would seem to me that is something you want to do. Get your backup WR's reps with the starter before you pull the starter.

ECU is very well rounded. They can play low-scoring games and they can play shoot outs. If they get us in a shoot out we could be in trouble. Same with Marshall. Hard to imagine our defense letting anyone get us in a shoot out though Edited by BillySee58
