From OSDH&CP? I know. I'm asking too much.

Ha, I wish. Just got the stuff for tomorrow in and the best we'll have is Shiner Premium.

I have never seen the UNT bonfire. Still don't know if I will tomorrow. I think I've got child with me through Saturday morning. If so, won't make it.

But, you know, I'm holding both of your OSDH[/flyingworm]CP shirts hostage there...

Consider this a bump.

Come one come all tonight! It's Free! It's literally the best seat in the "house" to watch the bonfire from! Hot dogs!

Also, as this is Homecoming Weekend, the normal operations of the Alumni Pavilion will be in open-house mode tomorrow during tailgating. Swing by then as well!

Can't the child come along? That's our plan; should we reconsider?

No, she, they, everyone of all ages can attend. For Oldguy, his child wants to just go off and do other things that aren't Denton-oriented. But his kid is particularly cool, so we'll give them a pass... this time.

Got it. Our child is still young enough that he has to do what we do. LOL

Harry I might just kick you the next time I see you! TENT? Seriously? Everyone knows it's a Jiffy Lube! Get with the program! :-)

In all seriousness, the UNT Alumni Pavilion is a great place to meet fellow alums during homecoming starting with tonight's bonfire...after, of course, you watch the Mean Green start the BB season 1-0 after beating Northwood. Tip-off is 5pm to accommodate the bonfire time. So, come to the game and just walk over the bridge to the Alumni Pavilion and enjoy the bonfire. It is going to be great!

See you there! Both places....

Yeah, nearing the line on the funny wife comparisons. You know I'm a single parent. She's twelve. I think it's important that she gets to explore her own social outlets.

With all responsibilities combined, it's pretty difficult for me to get to as many events as I do.

I can take some ribbing, but the whole parenting thing is a bit of a sacred cow for me.

Ok...my bad. Had no clue it was that touchy a subject for you since you post about it almost every week here on GMG.com. Would think a public board would not be where one sensitive about such things would constantly post about them. But, my sincere apologies to you. Understand completely. Won't happen again. Thought you would get a kick out of it or would not have done the post in the first place. Feel bad that I did...mea culpa.

I have deleted the original post. Sorry.

I am well aware that there was no malicious intent, and you're right, I post about it all the time. But it is a hell of a responsibility that stretches me really, really thin. So when I post things like, "Gonna be with the kid, can't make it," it's not in jest at all. I'm genuinely just letting people know that I can't make that particular event.

It's all good. No worries. Go mean green. I'm child free tomorrow, so look out!
