We are playing great football lately averaging 200+ yards rushing in our last 3 games vs Rice, UAB and Tulsa. Soza was turnover prone for the first part of the season but has since gone turnover free for 3 straight weeks. Additionally coming into the UAB game we had a putrid 2 turnovers. In two games we have forced 7 turnovers with 2 defensive touchdowns.

The Dome will be rocking and hopefully we can knock out Tulane.

Thank you very much! I hope y'all do. I also hope we win out and go to the title game which will mean a loss for y'all. Sorry, will cheer for y'all in all of your games but November 23rd.

Vegas had the line UTEP -1 vs UTSA... We're favorites by 21... UNT has given up 0 TD's at home in the 2nd half and has only allowed 6 TD's in the 2nd half all year and 2 of them where special team TD's.

You know what happens when you peak, you climax... What's happens after you climax, you go to sleep. UTSA might peak at the beginning of the game but won't be able to last longer than a couple pumps.

Talk all you want about teams not playing there best vs UNT. We wear teams down, they're exhausted by the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Is that what really happens for ya'll?? Hmm.... I'm sorry.

Yes, Marcus Trice unexpectedly put his helmet on the ball and then Zach Orr unexpectedly picked it up and ran for a touchdown. Then an entire punt block team unexpectedly put a bunch of Owls on their back and The Chancellor unexpectedly put a move on a punter that embarrassed him on national tv.

You are right, I bet Rice didn't expect any of that to happen. Maybe UTSA should have tried some of those things instead of losing to Rice like everyone expected?

Now they know to expect it. And they still won't be able to stop it.

Not taking anything away from what y'all have done... giving you huge props in fact.

All I'm stating is that I believe we will give you our best game possible. Offense and defense... even special teams. We will be razor sharp and focused with an extra week of game planning by Coker and his staff. We have the playmakers on our team to win this game.

You obviously haven't seen our playmakers.

The best way to start a rivalry is with the underdog beating you at home!! I'm all for it!

UNT is the class of the CUSA West Division this season... our goal is to beat you. We will bring our best to your house and may the best team that day win and become the CUSA West Champion.

Until then, we need to take care of our business in beating Tulane... that's a challenge in itself. I'll be back on Sunday.

You sound like a solid fan and a good fella. I wish y'all the best except when you play us. Hopefully, you beat Tulane. I will take any help for our team in order to win this conference. We played terrible against Tulane. They aren't a great team. Rice was better I thought. Y'all can beat those guys. I think we'll take down UTEP to set up a good game on the 23rd.

A whole lot of teams, especially their offenses, leave Apogee without showing their best product.

Why do you think that is? Which is the mostly likely:

1) A strange confluence of solar flares and the North Texas area mountain cedar pollen?

2) Apogee was built over a Native American burial ground?

3) A vast right wing media conspiracy?

4) North Texas is a pretty good team?

i'm not sure what it is about it exactly... but it definitely has something to do with the wing zone

This thread was interesting enough for me to join in on the fun. UNT90 is one of the funniest guys I've run across on any board... not because of his humor... but because of his delusionalness (Yes, I know that's not a word!).

I gotta hand it to the Mean Green. Your players and coaches have put together one heck of a season! Big wins, and close losses to great teams... very well done to this point. Congratulations on your season so far!

That being said, you can bet your house that the Roadrunners will be focused and determined to beat what I think will be a Tulane nobody has seen yet. Tulane will roll into SA with fire in their veins. They will put the best possible product they have on the field. They will play the best game they've played to date.

UTSA will match them in intensity and exceed them in quality. We will prevail.

We will come to your home two weeks later determined to win. There is no stopping that game from happening. We will show up, and we will play our best game to date. We are coming, and there is no stopping it.

You call me dilusional and follow with this post? Lolz!!

Go home, little boy.

I ventured over to the CUSA board for the first time in a long time earlier. I had no clue how much the UTSA fans run their mouths.

I personally see UTSA and La Tech being our two major rivals I'm this conference. I have no problem with that either.

UTSA always travels well and I can tell you most fans who can only make 1 road game a year are traveling to Denton later this month. Last year the same push was for the Rice game and we were told we were the largest travelling fan base at Rice Stadium in recent years

For some reason I thought UNT peeps liked to drink but apparently the UNT rule makers have outlawed kegs? Bummed about that

Most school owned stadiums don't allow kegs and glass bottles.. Kegs take too much work anyways and the cost is the same after waste/ ice/ cups

Your comments are interesting to me. You try to come off as mild mannered here on GMG.com yet you post this about North Texas over on your board:

Direct link

Outside of being a serviceman, I have zero reason to respect what you post on our message board.

Hmmm interesting, sounds just like someone from your own board that has a UTSA blog and then comes back here and belittles UTSA. Something along the lines of double standards right?

I don't need to hide behind different user names, no reason to. Also, last time I checked I can talk however I want in my own part of the internet.

I don't need to "earn" anybody's respect from this board, I could care less what y'all think about me. I try to be respectful of your own house, I am a firm believer of that rule. But some of y'all really make it hard to do so.

See y'all on November 23.

you can't have a keg at tailgating?

I don't think you can which is a shame because it would make things a lot easier. In the original Mean Green Club Mean Rob was able to take a keg to Waco. So I do think some schools allow it.

So let me get this straight.

Their board operator organizes fun group outings via creative, well placed advertising. We get advertisements for penis enlargement, Russian/Asian hookers, and an opportunity to earn an online degree in how to empty used bedpans.

Your duality is funny. Let's get this straight, one post you tell people here that they can't say what they want, then you get butt hurt, present your resume, then post you can say whatever you want, followed by your Stuart Smalley style Daily Affirmation about how respected you are and are definitely not trolling because you don't hide behind multiple nonsense internet names. Gotcha ya. Thanks for stopping by. We appreciate what little to nothing you bring to our UNT football conversations. Edited by UNTexas

At this point I should relay to you, and others, how Google Banner Advertising works. They show banners typically based off of sites that you visit and interests that your searches display. If you go to a university's site.. you might see banner ads for a ton of online degrees. It is typically based on your search behavior and unique to your computer's IP address

Well, this is another weird thread...anyway...

1) I get the feeling that the need for Tulane to lose is just like the need to #hit6...the sooner, the better. You never know which Tulane team will show up...the one that lost to South Alabama and Syracuse, or the one that beat UNT and ECU. Because of that, you don't want to wonder what will happen when they play Rice, so I hope UTSA beats them.

2) It was pointed out in the last day or two that UTSA can only go to a bowl if there aren't enough eligible teams. Well...I kind of hope that happens, because if we beat them and they win their other 3 (which would get them to 6-6 so they could fill a bowl slot from a conference without enough eligible teams) then we will likely have wins against 4 bowl teams this year (assuming MUTS makes one as expected). And if we do win out, our only losses are also to bowl teams.

2a) If they haven't changed the way bowl payouts work (last I heard, it was the bowl team gets a larger share and the rest is split up among conference mates), then don't we want as many CUSA teams as possible to go to bowls? Incitements to rage and online battles of wit notwithstanding, it behooves us for the sake of conference power rankings, recruitment, etc. for as many of our conference mates as possible to go bowling (and hopefully WIN)...plus, as mentioned, we get more MONEY for the program.

So I hope UTSA loses to us and wins the rest, and somebody falls flat and can't fill their conference's spot.

I also want to know how much that Rowdy Burger costs...if it's a regular priced burger, that's crazy. Wing Zone seats, anyone...? Hey, I'm not saying we should emulate everything they do and for good reason, but until we have a packed stadium, no need to reinvent the wheel, might as well borrow/steal a couple of ideas. They are doing these to keep their momentum rolling, and even though we are no start-up like them, we're finally returning to relevance and similar gimmicks might help in the short run.

Great, that helps explain why all the "how to dispose of a message board moderator's body without leaving a trace" banner ads start showing up. Edited by greenit
