What the ticket arrangement is for season ticket holders if we host the CUSA championship game?

Do we have to pay extra? What about club seat holders?

So many questions no one thought would be asked this year.

Which everyone is glad you're asking.

The answer is yes to pay extra with every other team I know of, Season tickets get first right to buy or have to buy. But North Texas in particular I do not know but I figure it is safe to assume we have to pay for those tickets separately.

Tulane has to lose again and Marshal or ECU (whoever wins) would have to have a lower ranking than us and that doesn't seem very likely because our remaining SOS is weak.

However, if that should happen I believe that season ticket holders are safe where they are. It seems to me that the opponent has option for half the stadium if they can sell that many tickets.

BCS standings before this weeks games.

Ball St 38

RICE 47

ECU 51

If we assume Tulane drops at least one more, and that the east division champion (ECU/MAR) wins out AND that we win out then:

If the East champion is Marshall we are going to be ahead of them in the BCS rankings.

If the East champion is ECU then they will more than likely be ahead of us, unless Ball St has not lost and beaten top 25 NIU.

Regardless, none of this can happen unless we win out. And we can't win out unless we beat UTEP.

Here's what happened in 2011

Conference USA and the University of Houston announced on Monday that tickets for Saturdays C-USA Championship Game are sold out.

UH sold nearly 12,000 tickets within three hours of the teams 48-16 victory at Tulsa to clinch the West Division title. The remaining tickets were sold via the student allotment and 2011 season ticket holders. Season ticket locations not purchased by the current season ticket holder are being used to fill additional seat requests.

Championship game details

The Knights won't earn their place in it with out a win over UTEP Saturday, but priority order deadline for UCF season ticket holders is approaching for the C-USA title game on Dec. 1.

Season ticket holders' window to order their maximum allotment of four tickets began Nov. 16 and will last through 5 p.m. Friday. Those who do not purchase their tickets during this window will not be guaranteed the same seats for the title game.

I wonder how parking passes would work go out of towners. Lets say we don't clinch hosting the game till the last weekend. How are out of town season ticket holders going to get the parking passes? Will call open at 9AM?

So many questions.

Yes, it will cost extra and MGC will get first stab at getting tickets. But, while it is very unlikely, it is possible. Can you imagine UNT with a 9 win season? This is incredible...but let's beat UTEP. #HIT7

Its nothing to bank on, but nothing particularly crazy has to happen for us to host.

1) we have to win 3 games we will be favored in.

2) Tulane has to lose 1 of 2 games on the road they'll be underdogs in.

3) Marshall, who likely won't catch us in the BCS standings, and who is great at home needs to beat ECU the day before we play Tulsa.

If we do indeed host, there's no way we will know for sure before the night of 11/30.

If the stars should align with BCS rising and decipher the ancient CUSA bylaw runes in such a way that the game happens in Denton, and should the scourge of the ghost of southlake past be lifted so as the Mean Green win the game, can the students then rush the field?

Yes, but only if they:

1) rush the field

2) draw lots

3) dress whoever drew the black lot as Todge

4) drive Stand in Todge into the desert

Then, and only then, will the stain be cleansed.
