Just got done watching the game tonight off of DVR. It's so amazing being with Fox instead of ESPN. They treat us like a real program instead of an afterthought like ESPN always did, even in the bowl years. Announcers are great and knowledgeable, there's a sideline reporter, highlight reels, and a recap of the game to lead off Fox Sports Live. Also those uniforms looked so amazing during the broadcast, every single part from helmet down.

Is there any doubt that the move to Conference USA isn't the best thing to happen to this program in decades?

Edit: and ANOTHER recap, this time with a post game interview with Mac? I'm so impressed.

And a third recap with Zach Orr interview...

Fox Sports 1 (versus Rice) conducted the best UNT game broadcast I've ever seen. I am so happy to be affiliated with Fox.

Fox does a much better job than ESPN's diluted crews who cover mid majors. If it's not Musberger/Herbstreit, Millen/Tessatorie, or Blackledge/Brad Nessler then it tends to be a bad product. Fox came in enthused, did their homework and background research, and had an outstanding broadcast. Heck even the CBS broadcast at La Tech was better than the ESPN ones we have received in recent years. Thursday night's broadcast was near perfect.

Fox Sports 1 runs a tight ship--very pro. And we are giving them a good product. Its a win-win.

LOL!

Well, we've shifted the paradigm. Good ROI for Fox. And that's not just me talking--it's data driven.

The game earned a .1 rating, translating into 108,000 viewers nationwide.

How does that compare with other midweek C-USA and comparable level broadcasts?

EDIT: I see that one of the previous Thursday night C-USA broadcasts (Sep. 26th) had a .2 rating and 244,000 viewers. But that was Tulsa against Iowa State.
