My only real problem from Saturday was not taking the three points at the goal line... (Even though i thought we scored the TD) The onside kick is a choice, and i can live with it. The interceptions are on Morris, that first one was horrible, the second one less so.

I get where you're coming from about the defense and it's not totally unreasonable. Army just kept converting 3rd and 4th downs. It felt like they would just fall forward and get 4 yards at times. But as you mentioned the defense did some really good things. To add to that: we kept them below their season average in yards per carry, yards per play, scoring % per drive (only 33%), and doubled up their turnovers. It was a noteworthy performance. We just don't have the personnel to match straight up against a good running team like them and consistently win 1 on 1 -- much less impose our will. Maybe next season. We could've been more aggressive and pressed closer to the LOS with our safeties, more blitzes, etc. Then one missed tackle or gap assignment and they're doing push ups in the south end zone.

The play was reviewed and they determined there was insufficient evidence to overturn the call. Had they ruled a TD in live play, I believe it would have also stood.

Ha! I rewatched the Tulsa game a few times the week after. I enjoyed the good times….hoping for more after Friday!

I don't think Morris is anywhere near the hot seat right now but if he makes the decision to keep Caponi on his staff after this year then that's where I'd start questioning him. However, the fact that we [again] couldn't win just one game during the gauntlet part of our schedule like our 0-4 stretch last year is highly discouraging. Overall UNT sports are 0-9-1 against power conference and ranked opponents this year and that is the number that frustrates me the most.
