Actually, no. For the size and dimensions of that stadium, that is a perfect level.

in 15 home games at Apogee, I think the ref mic has worked well on 1 or 2 games. I'm simply at a loss as to why this can't be fixed...but I'm not a soundman either.

Holy. Balls. I think some graduate assistant was screwing around and accidentally broke the volume knob off at 11 and they couldn't afford to fix it because their mascot needed heart-worm treatment.

Obviously, the ref's mic is an issue. I still don't know why we can't fix this.

Also, I agree with you about volume. If you are sitting in the wingzone it is significantly louder than the student/alum sections. I sat a quarter there two seasons ago and it was rather annoying.

Its feed back over the refs mic's the volume is louder than the noise canceling can be set at. They could turn it down a bit.

Your complaint is not that crazy. It's a little loud but then again it's not bad when you're sitting on the opposite side where the speakers are.

I completely disagree. Coming from a guy who attended all the Penn State football games last season, they're a little soft! They need more music and they need the music to be louder. Much louder. If you want a hype student section, you'll play even more music and make it louder!
