"I only caught the second half so I missed the first half where apparently Rice played much better. Still, I came away even more impressed with UNT than I already was after we beat them at HC. A very solid Defense, very quick with some good athletes and on Offense a decent RB and a QB that can give you problems. Our win over them was no walkover a mediocre opponent. They're good. Rice will give us trouble but they weren't able to really dent UNT's Defense. And ours is better. My feeling is that we just have to score 21 or more points to beat Rice and put pressure on their Offense to score, we can't just expect to get by on Defense all night long."

My favorite from the thread:

Wavefan:

The main thing I got out of watching the game? I'm glad we don't have to play UNT again!

Nice that some recognize that we are a tough out and that they may not get away with one if we played again.

...we can't (and shouldn't) worry about Tulane. They may win out. They may get us on the tie breaker. They may not win another game all season. ALL UNT can do is keep playing like they have been these last couple of weeks, and be as in good a position as they can be. So long at the team and coaches are looking at it this way, the rest will take care of itself.

My magical ghetto predictor model that has predicted this so far:

OCAJ264.png
Predicts:
@FAU L, 17-18
@UTSA L, 24-38
UTEP W, 41-20
@Rice L, 17-33
Now since it's final that Tulane is going to lose two games, I won't lose anymore sleep...
Edit: Went back and corrected an error in my spreadsheet which now has them losing @ FAU.
I'll officially call FAU beating Tulane as my:

I choose to believe this because it's based on:

Not because of massive amounts of confirmation bias and my pent up desire to win a conference, none of that... at all... nah son.

I so agree with you.

How adorable is it that they actually think that their defense is better or comparable to ours??? lol.

Poor little things just haven't figured out that our offense just really really sucked. :( and I'm really not understanding this wording interpretation on the tiebreaker.

So Tulane can lose this week and have a 4-1/ 6-3 record (like us and Rice) but still hold the West??? How? because of ECU?
