You may laugh at a Conference-USA game getting top billing over a Pac-12 game, but it's going on while most of us are awake and features two near-locks for bowl games, which is more than we can say about (whispering, pointing at Pullman) them. We've got a pair of potent offenses in this one, so don't expect to be bored by the football on TV while you wait for trick-or-treaters.

Plan B: Arizona State at Washington State

Despite the early upset over USC, it's pretty obvious that Wazzu is not, how you say, "good" this year. Nonetheless, if you've got the gumption to watch two straight games on a Thursday, you get to see Pac-12 offenses at work — and the Sun Devils on the road, meaning automatic upset alert.

Keep it in mind: South Florida at Houston

Houston at least runs an entertaining offense, and USF is fun much in the same way that that one GIF of the horse trying to play with the ball and falling over is fun. But hey, new uniforms for Houston!

In case of emergency: Troy at ULM

A fourth Halloween game? All right. I get that teams do this to get better TV exposure than they would have gotten on Saturday, but this one's on ESPNU. Why move a game off the weekend just to get on ESPNU?
